Summer 2008 Youth Leadership Project

Teens enrolled in the Leadership Project worked on the butterfly gardens, created woodchip paths, and removed hundreds of tires from the pond. They also ran educational lectures and tours for younger children and took photographs to upgrade their website. After hours the teens spotted an illegal dumping tragedy. After filling a dumpster, local workers working on a homeowner's patio were cited for dumping cement at the pond. The teens called an illegal dumping hotline and received a reward.
